Mail2 is compact, only a small portion of the screen is used, Mail2 also requires less than 1 Mb of memory (RAM). Compared with other products, it takes up to 80% less memory.
Mail2 is not demanding on the processor. When Mail2 is in memory, it constantly verifies for the arrival of new messages. The process is done in the background and takes less than 1% of the processor when it is in its most active phase.
The disk space is also a factor which was taken into consideration when creating Mail2. It is obviously impossible to foresee the size of messages and joined files during message exchanges, but because archives are kept (preserved) on the user's computer and not on the server (post office), the disk space used on the server stay minimized. |
No maintenance is required by Mail2. The network administrator does not have to manage the software packages on the server, unless for possible updates of the software.
Mail2 works with any protocol of communication. The client portion of Mail2 only needs to know where the post office is located on the server for the communication to take place. This way of doing allows Mail2 to be compatible with any network system (Windows 95, 98, 98 se, Me, NT, XP, 2000 and 2003).
Mail2 checks for new messages every n seconds (defined by the user). If a new message is ready, it is immediately fetched from the server.
Mail2 is sold in limited licenses version of 5, 10, 25 and unlimited users. A free demo version (limited to 2 users) is also available. |
